Equipment/Group Lists

Scout Amik

Participant Group Check List for Camp:

  • At time of Registration - Complete the Group Adventure Application Form and submit to your group commissioner for approval.
  • At time of Registration - Verify all attending are registered and have an "ACTIVE" status in myScouts, or fall under approved Scouts Canada guidelines if on trial, or any other status, etc.
  • Prior to Arriving at Camp - Print the Group Registration forms to use as their medical form from myScouts.  If the registration form is not available via myScouts, fill in a Physical Fitness Form.  These will need to be given to the camp admins prior to or at camp arrival for everyone attending camp.

 OOS Check List for Camp::

How to Print Youth Registration Forms

  • Section Scouter/Leader will need to log into https://www.myscouts.ca/
  • On the main screen, click My Roles, then select your group

  • Under Current Participants, select the order circle for the youth

Camp Site Info

Scout Amik

Scout Amik is held at Gimli Bible Camp (https://gimlibiblecamp.com/)

The camp is located about 5 minutes north of Gimli on Hwy. 222 (Hwy. 9) and 113N (Dnister road).  See map here: https://gimlibiblecamp.com/index.php/map-to-camp

There are 10 heated cabins that hold 12 people each plus the main and mini lodge.  Note: the 10 Cabins or Mini lodge do not have washrooms/showers, they are located in a separate building.

Scouts and their leaders will sleep in the cabins, with the sexes into separated Cabins.   The mini lodge will be used for emergency use (cabin heat failing) and overflow needs only.

Note: Cabin assignment is subject to change as numbers change.  Some groups may be split into multiple cabins to make up leader ratio to youth vs cabin bed space.

•    The cabins are assigned by youth/adult numbers, it is up to the groups to decide which adults/youth will stay in the groups designated cabin or cabins
•    There are 2 females cabins that have mixed groups of leaders and youth to make up ratio
•    2 rooms in the mini lodge will be used for additional female numbers

Participants and their leaders will stay in 10 heated cabins that hold 12 people each (120 total).  Note: the Cabins and Mini lodge do not have built in or winterized washrooms/showers, they are located in a separate building.  The Mini lodged will only be used as backup or overflow if needed.

All beds at the facility will either be a single bed or bunkbed with matress only, no blankets or pillows are provided.  Everyone will need to bring:

  • Sleeping Bag
  • Pillow(s)
  • Extra blankets if needed

Saturday Group Activity Equipment List: 

  • T-Shirt printing (main hall) - please bring a light colored shirt
  • Fire Lighting (outside)
  • Craft - Ice Fishing Tip-Ups (main hall)
  • First Aid/Rescue (outside)
  • Lashing activity (main hall)
  • Klondike (outside)

 Saturday Night:

  • Cabin Skits
  • Late movie

Sunday Morning:

  • Sunday - Ice Fishing on the Lake using Tip-Ups.  Dress warm for the cold.  If you have fishing license, please remember to bring it.
