 OPERATION ICE CAP 3

January 17-19, 2025 at Camp Arnes.

Hello Cub Scouters, Operation Ice Cap 31 was a huge success, and we are already booked for 2025.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation this year. And I look forward to seeing you all again next year.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over the last 33 years, Cub Scouts and their leaders have participated in Operation Ice Cap winter Cub Scout camp.  It would be a pleasure to have your Cub Scout join us and become a part of this fantastic annual winter camp.

The camp registration this year is $?? per participant (Youth and Adults).

Please Note: we are expecting camp to be at full capacity this year, so registrations will be processed in order they are submitted which includes full payment.

Registration is online only, and all camp information is available on the camp website: www.operationicecap.ca

CAMP ARNES THE PERFECT SITE

Situated 15km North of Gimli, Camp Arnes is classified as a full residential camp. It exceeds the requirements set out by the national and provincial councils of Scouts Canada. From the cabins & chalets, large dining hall, to the Wigwam meeting house, Camp Arnes has all of the facilities for a great weekend winter camp. The Cub Scouts and their Leaders will spend restful nights in one of their many cabins situated on the shore of Lake Winnipeg. ICE CAP fees include all meals and snacks which are catered by Camp Arnes staff. HOME | Camp Arnes

FUN AND FRIENDSHIP

The ICE CAP program has been designed to provide fun, and some challenges to our Cub Scouts. We have some of the favourite activities; swimming (not available this year), ice fishing, obstacle course challenge, games and crafting. We will also have our Friday night “special” event (returning campers are asked to keep their promise regarding Ice Cap traditions!!).

SAFETY AND COMFORT IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY

The ICE CAP service team take pride in the job we do providing the youth and leaders with great winter camping experience. Qualified first aiders are onsite throughout the camp and certified Lifeguards are on the job in the swimming pool. Accommodations for special dietary needs can be provided, and Camp Arnes provides a nut free kitchen.

Yours in Scouting,
Scouter Murray Gartner
