Wilderness Challenge Program Activity Info

Wilderness Challenge Program Activity Rules

Teams will be judged on how they participate and complete activities subjectively, based on team work, how well they completed the task, inventiveness, how much leadership help was needed, etc.  Some activities will be learning/teaching skills then doing and other activities youth will be given instructions on how to complete the task and left to complete on their own.  The scores will be tallied at the end of the activities and will be posted within 48 hours of the camp.

Teams will not need go in any order and should move on to the next town/activity if it is full.

Team Size: Activities are designed for groups of about 6-10.  Larger may be asked to break into 2 or more smaller teams once registration is received.

Cub/Guide leaders: should be travelling with youth and providing minimal support during activities

Scout/Pathfinder leaders: at this level we expect leaders will only be checking in on the youth periodically, and not be leading the youth at the activity.  It is suggested leaders stay back at their sites or HQ for a least an hour to give the youth time to start.
