Participant Group Check List for Camp:

  • Prior to attending camp - submit any approval paper work to your group commisioner.
  • Prior to attending camp - Verify all attending are registered and active in MyScouts, or fall under approved Scouts Canada guidelines if on trial, or other status, etc.
  • Print Group Registration forms to use as their medical form from MyScouts.  Group leaders will need to carry these at camp in case of emergency.
  • If registration form is not available, fill in form Physical Fitness 2023.pdf

How to Print Youth Registration Forms

  • Section Scouter/Leader will need to log into https://www.myscouts.ca/
  • On the main screen, click My Roles, then select your group

Camp Site Info

Scout Amik is held at Gimli Bible Camp (https://gimlibiblecamp.com/)

The camp is located about 5 minutes north of Gimli on Hwy. 222 (Hwy. 9) and 113N (Dnister road).  https://gimlibiblecamp.com/index.php/map-to-camp

There are 10 heated cabins that hold 14 people each plus the main and mini lodge.  Note: the 10 Cabins or Mini lodge do not have washrooms/showers, they are located in a seperate building.

  

 

Cabins and Accommodations

There are 10 heated cabins that hold 12 people each plus the main and mini lodge.  Note: the Cabins and Mini lodge do not have built in or winterized washrooms/showers, they are located in a separate building.  The Mini lodged will only be used as backup or overflow if needed.

All beds at the facility will either be a single bed or bunkbed with matress only, no blankets or pillows are provided.  Everyone will need to bring:

  • Sleeping Bag
  • Pillow(s)
  • Extra blankets if needed

Friday Night Camp Opening

  • 3rd Winnipeg - Flag break

Saturday Group Activity Equipment List: 

  • T-Shirt Printing (main hall) - Light colored shirt required.
  • Fire Lighting (outside)
  • Survial Bracelets (main hall)
  • Broomball (outside)
  • Game Station (main hall)
  • Snowshoe Orientation (outside)

 Saturday Night:

  • Cabin Skits (main hall) - Skits with a twist and a bit of compitition.

    • Skits will be done by cabin, not group
    • Skits should be 5-10 min
    • Each cabin will receive 10 items to incorporate into the skit
    • Skit theme to drawn on Friday night. Past theme examples - StarWars, Olympics, Super Heros
    • Use free time to create skit
    • Prizes to be awarded to winning cabin individuals

Sunday Morning:

  • Scout's own
  • Group vs group challenge game (main hall)

Sunday Closing

  •  1st Crestview - Take down the flag
